The Pontoise Criminal Court, which was scheduled to try one of the alleged perpetrators this Tuesday, has therefore opened a criminal investigation. This could pave the way for a trial at the Assize Court.
The optician from Flanades will likely have to live with permanent after-effects from her attack. A doctor has just described a probable permanent disability resulting from the blows inflicted on the 44-year-old victim's face. The acts committed in Sarcelles in November 2024 could now be classified as criminal by the courts, following new expert assessments.
The Pontoise Criminal Court, which was scheduled to try young Ousmane D., the only suspect arrested in the case, this Tuesday afternoon, has logically relinquished jurisdiction over the case and referred it to an investigating judge. A judicial investigation is expected to be opened shortly, with the 19-year-old defendant being charged. With a possible future appearance before the Assize Court in mind.

Today, mistrust has invaded her mind. She wonders if she exposed herself too much online, if one of her clients is behind all this. “They definitely spotted me. They were waiting for me. Are they going to attack my employees? Is it because I'm Jewish? I don't want to say it's anti-Semitic because I don't want to believe it,” she explains.
Her questioning stumbles upon the inconsistencies of this attack. "We know they wanted my watch, all right, but why are you hitting me? Why are you leaving me on the ground without my shoes, next to the trash, in the rain like a dirty girl?" she wonders. She sensed that her attackers were rather young, but in no way could she see herself resisting them. "Why this violence? Why only the watch? If they asked me for it, I would have given it to them and my bag with it," she concludes.
